What You Will Learn

In this hands-on workshop led by renowned 3D artist and digital fashion pioneer KJ Walker, you’ll learn the technical foundations of creating Wearables for Decentraland. Designed for those with 3D modeling experience, the session dives into key platform requirements—like triangle limits, material compatibility, and weight painting for avatar integration. KJ will walk you through how different Wearable categories function in-world, sharing insights on optimization, adapting existing designs, and creative tips from years of experience. With real examples and practical guidance, you’ll leave with the knowledge to bring your own digital fashion pieces to life in Decentraland.

Decentraland x Digital Fashion Week

As part of a partnership with Decentraland and in preparation for the Digital Fashion Week showroom launching during ArtWeek, designers will have the opportunity to understand the requirements for creating successful wearables as part of their brand strategy.

Taught by KJ Walker

KJ Walker is a 3D artist and founder of LowPolyModels, a studio creating wearables, assets, and interactive builds for virtual worlds. She started in fine art, got into 3D modeling, and found her way into digital fashion through Decentraland in 2019. What began as curiosity turned into a full-on obsession with doing things better—from making some of the platform’s first wearable tutorials to learning code and working with brands like Coca-Cola, Adidas, and the BBC. Her work blends style and function, with a focus on keeping virtual worlds creative, fun, and beautifully made.
